Wu Opera
Wuju Opera is one of the most ancient local operas in China, and it is the second largest opera in Zhejiang. It treats Jinhua as the center, and enjoys the popularity in Jinhua, Quzhou, Lishui and Jiangxi. Wu Opera has a history of more than 400 years of with a rich repertoire, whose main tunes are 6 kinds of Gao Qiang, Kunqu Opera, Hui opera, Luantan, Tan Yellow and Shidiao. The opera art features of Wu Opera are plain, rough and strong; high pitched singing, rich music; good at martial arts, amazing stunts, with distinctive local characteristics. The traditional repertoires are "Broken Bridge" "Antiphonal Singing", "Gathering of monks and nuns" and others.
