Jinhua Bullfight
Jinhua Bullfight is the fight between cattle. It dates back to Dao period of the Song and Ming Dynasties (1032 - 1033), and it is traditional and enduring. Combined with the temple fair, it is the folk recreational activity with the unique charm of Oriental civilization, and its style can be comparable with the Spanish bullfight, known as "something unique to the Orient ". Lu Xun wrote an article about bullfighting of Jinhua at his early timesearly. He wrote in Watching Fight: "I know that there is bullfighting in Jinhua when reading the magazine Oriental Magazine. However, it is indeed different from Spain, as in Spain it is the fight between a man and a bull, while it is between bulls." (the fifth Volume of the Complete Works of Lu Xun.). The bulls wear flags and golden flowers on the head, and they are covered with red silk with colored flags. Gongs and drums clear the way, and the firecrackers roar. It is unusually lively, and it is very spectacular scenes.
